The concert will be on March 25th, if they do not change it (it'll be the day after my 23th birthday, March 24th!)
More details:
This is an "ex novo" award, not related to any contest, and not to be confused with the "Velluti international contest". The one I have been given is called "Premio Velluti" - dedicated to the last great operatic castrato of the 19th century, Giovan Battista Velluti, who sang also for Rossini and Meyerbeer.
The award was given by Corridonia's town hall (it's Velluti's birthtown) with the advice of musicologists and critics such as Dott. Giorgio Gualerzi, Dott. Giancarlo Landini , Dott. Alessandro Mormile, Dott. Franco Fussi etc.
I will have to sing four arias from Velluti's time, at Teatro Velluti, recently restored.
I am so nervous! They still have to send me two arias I'll have to learn quickly... I also have another concert in a little town here in Spain, in February, and must study for that one as well... it's always the same: you get two or three gigs altogether and then nothing for months!
