Hello, I have a localization project where I have to process xml file in Trados 2015. When I imported the file everything was messed up, xml tags were mixed with main contents, which made it almost impossible to translate without error. Is there a way to tell Trados to only import main contents, leaving out xml tags or leaving xml tags as Trados tags? I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. | | | Frank Zou China Local time: 20:12 Member (2016) Chinese to English + ...

I understand if it is too time-consuming for you. I'm on tight deadline so learning by trial and error is not really an option for me at the moment. The default XML filter in Trados is only sufficient for files with a simple structure. For more complicated stuff, you may want to create a custom XML filter as described at length by Paul Filkin here: https://multifarious.filkin.com/2014/06/01/custom-xml/ | |
