Dear colleagues,
I am trying to prepare some very large XML files with embedded HTML code in them. Thanks to this forum I have discovered the use of the Snippet Mark-up plug-in and successfully made a lot of the embedded text untranslatable. This works fine and the word count correctly takes the changes into account.
The problem is the sheer number of different embedded strings which need to be rendered untranslatable. For example, there are many different URLs, different attributes such as href, rel name, etc...
To identify all of them and enter them manually into the plug-in properties would take several days which I don't have.
I've noticed that the entries made into the plug-in get saved in a profile in xml format.
My question: does anyone know of a way to
- Automate the extraction of the various tags (all are between < > so I'm guessing with a little programming/scripting experience it could be done)
- Import them into the profile xml file for the snippet plug in
(I use SDL trados 2007 build 835)
