We have a large number of texts coming in which combine technical elements of software translation (instructions, commands, keyboard shortcuts, actions, and aspects of technical installation) with promotional language (how marvellous the software is - a stunning, visual, productive....). These texts are reintegrated back into various videos, sites, etc.
A key element of the work is conforming the translation terminologies to existing websites, and also, to working out how to best present the texts where the actual softwares have not yet been translated into the target language (ie the demonstrators will be reading our texts, but looking at screens in English...). Thus it involves working closely with us and committing to conforming the vocabulary to the existing sites.
We provide extensive backup, and constant support for dealing with occasional tricky moments in the language or what is actually going on technically. We prefer to have long-term relationships with the freelance translators who work for us, and are prepared to invest from our side in providing maximum support. We have continuing requests from clients because we provide very high quality results, and we aim to continue in this direction.
