英语讲方位不那么具体. 如果原文的斜对面在马路对侧, across the street就够了, 如果该地刚好在路口, 就说 in the corner of Street A and Avenue B. Diagonally opposite 会令他们左思右想到底怎么斜法.

If you wish to indicate the diagonal corner of a corss road, just say "opposite corner"; however, 斜对面 need not to be at a corner, it could also mean "in the neighborhood of the opposing street"
