The German says *_aber_ bis auf*, i.e. it can\'t be *but right down to xyz* in English.
IMO, *right down to* would be expressed as *bis hin zu or bis einschließlich* in German, not *bis auf*
You could repost the question as a purely *German* one if you want a grammatical explanation |
