Die nachstehend angezeigten *Förderwege* koennen additiv jeweils bis zur Hoechstgrenze genutzt werden.
*Förderweg 1*
Seit dem 1.1.2002 besteht die Moeglichkeit, Beitraege bis zu einem Hoechstbetrag von 4% der Beitragsmessungsgrenze in der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung steuer- und sozialabgabefrei in die PKDW als Gehaltsumwandlung einzubringen.
*Förderweg 2*
Gemaess *Förderweg 2* ("Riesterförderung") kann jeder Mitarbeiter, der in 2005 2% seines Vorjahreseinkommen in seine Altersversorgung einbringt, staatliche Zulagen beantragen.

This contrasts to the first and second tiers. In particular this will negate the tax advantages of certain endowment policies where the proceeds were previously tax free. The Commission has also suggested that Riester subsidies on private savings should be extended to all groups of workers, for example to include civil servants and the self-employed.
