Tech/Engineering - 法律：专利、商标、版权 | | German德语词条或短语： Aquatarder-Einheit-SWR | The translation deals with an "Antriebseinheit mit einem Retarder." In one of the diagrams, it has the legend: "Aquatarder-Einheit-AWR." Nowhere in the text could I find any reference to this abbreviation and could also not find any info on the Internet or in my dictionaries.
Who can help? -- I hope this is possible with that little info as, otherwise, I would have to write you guys the whole patent. |

But since it did not include the 'S' I was not sure and didn't want to take any chances of making a fool out of myself. Sometimes German abbreviations differ from English ones and, with my question, I wanted to find out whether somebody knew the correct English abbr. You are probably right, I should leave it as is. And I feel a little more comfortable now in doing so.

the 'WR' part probably stands for Wasser-Retarder / water retarder, and for the 'S' your guess is as good as mine. It might simply be a part/assembly designation (note that one Voith water retarder has the model designation 'WR190').
Personally, I'd just leave it as is ('SWR Aquatarder unit').
