German德语词条或短语: Bodensonderungsgesetz
Die Bodensonderung ist eines der wichtigsten Verfahren zur Regelung der Eigentumsverhältnisse an Grundstücken in den neuen Bundesländern. Sie beruht auf dem Bodensonderungsgesetz.

Land Demarcation Act
说明:
I invented this myself. The statute was used in the GDR to decide boundaries of land without referring to the cadastral map (I think).

IMO this is not zoning. Zoning (Flächennutzung, Bebauung) is something found in many countries. Bodensonderung relates to what was East Germany, where huge collective areas needed their boundaries changing. Of course zoning is part of the effect, but first you need to demarcate.

Thank you! I'm not as familiar with land/property as housing and your explanation is very helpful.

Special land law

说明:
"Bodensonderungsgesetz" - Special land law (1993). Another problem at the beginning of the 90's was the insufficient operational potential of surveying, especially short-term cadastral surveying.

Land Zoning Act

说明:
It's always hard to translate the names of acts, ordinances, regulations, etc. because there seems to be uniformity. The German authorities have signed off on such words as Ordinance, Act, Regulation, etc. but did not publish any officially endorssed translation.

As far as THIS particular act is concerned, it refers to the so-called land zoning. For instance, in Ireland there is a government body called the Planning Commission which processes all sorts of applications in connection with the land. The either reject or allow applications for new housing, extensions, etc. They also re-zone lands that were designated as, for instance, agricultural lands only making them available for new developments. Such re-zoning is very much sought after since the land's designation dictates the price. Agricultural land is worth considerably less than sites with the correct zoning and possibly a planning permission.

Google the term and you will see that it is very widely used.

同意 Steffen Walter: Agree with your reasoning re. zoning but IMHO the "Bodensonderung" procedure and the related act are/were relevant post-reunification, rather than in the GDR. Cf. http://www.gutachter-wagner.de/gesetze/bosog.htm // Yes, IOW the "neue (Bundes)länder".

-> Yes, I should have said 'former GDR'. I translated a number of decisions related to this in 2003 and this is what I decided on then. It was about GDR territory.
