Well, you could say they are \"employed\" meaning they are \"used\" but they are not employees. As you know, this type of contract was introduced so companies wouldn\'t have to hire people because in Italy hiring somebody is almost like getting married to them and dismissing them is almost as hard as getting divorced.

Is a type of contract that defines the number of hours to work/week, holidays, etc. In this regard, it is more restrictive that the consultant-type.

I hardly believe there is an exact equivalent job contract outside Italy. Hence, I think that you have to translate it literally... I actually would put the Italian term with the translation between parenthesis...
