Program
A corporation is a legal person composed of one or more natural persons and is an entirely separate and distinct entity from the individuals who compose it. The powers of a corporation are fixed by its charter, which is granted by the state in which it is incorporated. It may have perpetual existence, no matter the death, withdrawal or disability of its members. It can sue or be sued; it can purchase and hold land or other property, enter into contracts or even commit legal wrongs like a private individual. The corporation's activities are governed or limited by the state's statutes.
