Hello everybody,
I would like to get my teeth into localization and transcreation. Can anyone of you put me in the right direction for good books or online courses (not necessarily free ones) on the subjects?
Thanks a lot!
Angela

A couple of times I was asked to translate an app and basically I was given an excel sheet with various words and short sentences (which I suppose are the so-called strings). Nobody mentioned the term "localization" but I translated the strings as if I were a local user, keeping in mind what a local user would expect to find in those apps. I suppose this is actually localizing, isn't it? ▲ Collapse
