Hello, While at the Wordfast Forward Conference, many asked for DeepL integration in their CAT tool. At the moment of this post, it works perfectly in Wordfast Anywhere. If you want to learn more about DeepL or subscribe to the service or connect it to WFA or see it perform, you can watch the video I created about it here: https://youtu.be/bYbXs977Aic Is it ... Hello, When can we expect Wordfast pro 5 to incorporate DeepL? Thank you for your help. Alex | | | Philippe Locquet Portugal Local time: 18:53 English to French + ... TOPIC STARTER Good question | Aug 23, 2018 |
Hi Alex, Thank you for raising this. It's something that was asked at the Conference. I'm sure this will not take too long now. I've asked Wordfast so there should be an answer on this forum pretty soon. In the meantime if you absolutely need to work with DeepL, you have a few options still: 1_ Connect DeepL to Wordfast Anywhere (see my video about it) 2_ Export a Txlf or txml from Wordfast Pro 5 3_ Import the txlf in WFA 4_ Prestrans... You still have the option to connect you WFP5 TM to WFA (see my video) and start work from WFA (with DeepL connected) this will nake your TM grow alll the same. These options are not the best and are only workarounds until the option exists in WFP5. Hope this helps. Alternatively you could just trash your CAT tool, get Deepl to do the translation by itself, copy/paste it into a Word document, and then do what you always have to do with a Deepl translation: completely check it, correct its many errors, and more or less rewrite the whole thing. | |

DeepL integration is scheduled for version 5.7. Version 5.6 is currently being beta tested and might be released as early as September. I don't expect 5.7 to be ready for beta testing until October or November. | | | Philippe Locquet Portugal Local time: 18:53 English to French + ... TOPIC STARTER There you go | Aug 23, 2018 |
