As far as my professional careeri is concerned, my cooperation with Siemens includes translation related to introduction of the Inspiro vehicle into operation in Warsaw Metro. The texts include norms, certificates, legal documents, documentation, manuals, etc. My cooperation with Siemens continues, heretofore I have translated over 3,500 pages into English and Polish. Translation work done for the University of Silesia concerns texts of scientific articles to be published in specialized, topic-related magazines. They are all in the field of material science, IT and economic geography. My cooperation with US continues (I have translated approx. 500 pages). I have also translated documentation and contracts, as well as technical specifications for Albion S.C. concerning erection of a heat and power plant in Torun (GT50 project). As a language tutor, I have worked for over 10 years in various companies and institutions (EDF, Police, School of Judges and Prosecutors). These projects usually concerned specialized language (law enforcement, business, power generation, legal English). I was also a consecutive translator before two representatives of EU while an inspection of a gas interconnector in Cieszyn, done for Gaz-System S.A. I have done several minor projects concerning translation of poetry, literature and subtitles. As a student, I participated in a work-experience programme in the USA, where, apart from my contract work, I helped other fellow students to communicate and settle issues with the employer (Lake Bryn Mawr Retreat and Conference Centre, Honesdale, PA, USA).
