I am a native German speaker with a Master's Degree in Social Sciences. My interest in different languages and cultures was prompted when I attended a student exchange program in the U.S. at the age of 16. During my studies, I went to the University of Tampere, Finland, for a semester abroad and after my graduation, I attended a six-month Work & Travel program in Canada.

I have worked for two international student exchange organizations in Germany and the United States, where part of my job was to translate documents for exchange students, American high schools, and partner organizations on a daily basis. I also acted as an interpreter on occasion. Furthermore, I worked for a charitable non-profit during the height of the recent European refugee crisis to support migrant integration efforts.

I have work experience in HR as well as Sales & Marketing. I am proficient in office software and Internet research. 

Since August 2020, I have been a freelance English to German translator. I have the most experience translating and proofreading business and marketing content, localizing advertising content and translating subtitles for various movies and shows. I specialize in marketing/market research, business, travel/tourism and entertainment.
