Is "dad who loves you" natural? what would you say this in English.

"Your loving father" does not imply that the father loves everyone else from my understanding. He is "loving" only in relation to the recipient of the letter. How could it mean anything else?

Yes, I agree with weiwei. "Your loving father" loves his child, and loves everyone else. This father might love his child, but hate everyone else.

many alternatives, e.g. "lots/full of love, dad"


if just "love you" perhaps it may be for between lovers not the kind of "love" between father and son.

("dad who loves you" may sound a bit formal)
