They give the driver a signal concerning proximity to other objects (vehicles, walls, etc.) that is useful when parking.
Land Rover calls this feature "parking aid", so it follows that "parking sensor" would be appropriate here.

However, your rendering "available space sensor" does not sound natural to me. I would still go for "parking sensor".

I can see your reading; quite probable. Many thanks for pointing it out. So it would be "parking sensors finished in body colour".

If the manufacturer has already referred to "capteurs d'aide au stationnement" (parking sensors), I can see why you're reluctant to use "parking sensors" again for this device.
It looks like we're actually talking about the sensors described here:
"Helping to make parking an altogether less stressful experience, the C4 Picasso is the first vehicle on the market to offer a parking space measurement system. The driver simply presses the ‘P’ button on the steering wheel, flicks the relevant indicator and drives slowly along the row of parked vehicles. Two ultrasonic sensors at either end of the front bumper inform the driver whether parking is possible, difficult or inadvisable."
It looks like we're actually talking about the sensors described here:

Capteur d’aide au stationnement
What's the French for parking sensor in 12.4 and 13.4?
Re. "mesure de place disponible", as Carlos says, the sensor detects the amount of room available to aid parking etc.
