For the US context. One enters law school after college and obtains a J.D. ( doctor of Jurisprudence) degree.

The medical equivalent is an M.D. degree ( Doctor of Medicine).

in the US, JD is the first law degree, so to speak, so it qualifies as an undergraduate law degree ( if translated to the EU equivalent). LLM and JSD are the '[post]graduate degrees.
