Tech/Engineering
Energy / Power Generation
Indirect supply of heat to an unvented hot water storage cylinder incorporating a boiler, the **energy cut-out** may be position on the boiler. However, this is only appropriate when the cylinder's approval certificate includes the boiler which is going to be used. In addition the **energy cut-out** on the boiler must be set below the operating temperature of the temperature/temperature and pressure relief valve (or below 89°C).

Non capisco perché gli inglesi non usino parole più adatte.
Infatti si parla di tarare lo strumento ad una certa temperatura.
A thermostat is a component of a control system which senses the temperature of a system so that the system's temperature is maintained near a desired setpoint. The thermostat does this by switching heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulating the flow of a heat transfer fluid as needed, to maintain the correct temperature

Discussion
safety device fitted to a water heater and designed to cut off the energy supply to the heater (i.e. gas or electricity) should the thermostat cease to function. The energy cut-off is intended to prevent the occurrence of excessive temperature in the water heater. This device is incorporated in all electric thermostats and gas control valves used in water heaters.
Per questo motivo avevo proposto limitatore = limit switch
Quindi se la fonte di riscaldamento è una resistenza elettrica, si tratta semplicemente di un termostato. Bisognerebbe leggere tutto il testo.
