For more information on the factors that have contributed to performance and current positioning of our long-only funds, I have enclosed a copy of our quarterly fund commentary.

Do you think thi "long" stands for "long term, long duration, long position" or other?

This refers to funds whose regulations prohibit entering into short positions, whether for hedging or position-taking.

long equity position

The site I've listed provides a very good explanation of long-only, long-short, and short.
It's a pdf file. Essentially, it notes that "long-only take long equity positions, typically with leverage", as opposed to short-sellers, "which only take short positions in stocks".
