structures
My architecture dico translates it as structural mass. Structural volume is another possibilty but I think it simply boils down to structures. Bauliche Gestaltung is structural design.
Baumasse relativ cubic capacity, cubic capacity (permitted for the physical structure)
Baumasse, tatsächliche actual cubic capacity

German term (edited):
Baumassen
Cubage (in m³) of residential occupancies
From your (again sparse) context, I suspect this is what the writer meant, and not the overall building cube; right here, the German language is terribly unclear, as the word "Baumaß" is given by Ernst as "structural dimension, space requirement"; the word "Baumasse" as "solidium" (the term in the other posting), and the word "Baumassen" as fem. pl., meaning cubage etc., and reading between the words you gave, this seems to me to fit rather better.
