German term

Bildbögen

German to English Art/Literary Printing & Publishing Art book
This is from a book on Alfons Mucha and the decorative panels he produced for Champenois.

I've found the terms "picture sheets" and "pictorial broadsheets" but don't know if either is correct, or if there's another word I should be using instead.

Thanks,
Rachel

pictorial series It seems to me that pictorial series would be adequate.

series of large-format printed images / panneaux

Commissions poured in. By 1898, he had moved to a new studio, illustrated Ilsee, Princess de Tripoli (see image at left), had his first one-man show and had begun publishing graphics with Champenois, a new printer anxious to promote his work with postcards and panneaux - sets of four large images around a central theme (four seasons, four times of day, four flowers, etc. - see below for Stars). Most of these sets were created for the collector market and printed on silk

In 1896, Mucha designed his first panneaux decoratifs: The Seasons (1896). Panneaux decoratifs were limited-edition large-size prints executed on silk or stiff papers, often ornately framed, hung on walls or screens. Usually, these featured highly stylized nature scenes, inspired by the silk screen paintings of the Orient. Mucha would produce several series of these, including: Flowers (1898), the Arts (1898), the Months (1899), Gemstones (1900) and Stars (1901).

Obviously you cannot repeat 'panneaux' though that would appear to be the technical term for these images.

series sounds great also but means something... more.
Peer comment(s):

agree Kenneth Friend : but they do in fact all seem to involve series of four illustrations

Oh, alright. All the best.
neutral Helen Shiner : These are not terms used in the art world for such things.
