Source text - English Bronchial and alveolar tissues from the 26-week repeat-dose toxicity rat trial cited above were stained with antibodies specific to PCNA by immunohistochemistry. PCNA staining and respiratory tract pathology evaluations were performed under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and in a blinded fashion. There were no differences in PCNA labeling in the large bronchiolar, terminal bronchiolar, or alveolar epithelial cells with Inhalation Powder after a 26-week exposure. There was a slight increase in PCNA labeling in the large bronchiole and terminal bronchioles with XYC particles but not in alveoli. There were no macroscopic observations in the respiratory tract tissues or difference in lung weights, lung-to-body weight ratios, or lung-to-brain weight ratios with XYC particles or Inhalation Powder as compared to Air Control. There were no microscopic findings associated with XYC particles or Inhalation Powder in the laryngopharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, or lung, including conducting airways and alveoli. There were microscopic findings of eosinophilic globules in the olfactory and respiratory epithelia observed in the nasal cavity at 26 weeks exposure and at recovery with XYC particles and Inhalation Powder.
Translation - Romanian Ţesuturile bronşic şi alveolar de la testul de toxicitate după doze repetate pe şobolani, cu durata de 26 de săptămâni, menţionat mai sus, au fost colorate cu anticorpi specifici la PCNA, prin imunohistochimie. Colorarea cu PCNA şi evaluările de patologie ale tractului respirator s-au efectuat conform normelor Bunelor Practici de Laborator (GLP), prin metoda testului orb. Nu au existat diferenţe de etichetare PCNA la nivelul celulelor epiteliale din bronşiolele mari, terminale sau din alveolele pulmonare cu pudră inhalatorie, după o expunere de 26 de săptămâni. S-a înregistrat o uşoară creştere de etichetare PCNA la bronşiolele mari şi la bronşiolele terminale cu particule XYC, dar nu şi la alveole. Nu s-a înregistrat nicio observaţie macroscopică în ţesuturile tractului respirator sau vreo diferenţă de greutate între plămâni, a raportului de greutate a plămânilor faţă de corp, sau a raportului de greutate între plămâni şi creier, cu particule XYC sau pudră inhalatorie, în comparaţie cu controlul aerului. Nu s-au înregistrat rezultate microscopice asociate cu particulele XYC sau cu pudra inhalatorie în laringofaringe, laringe, trahee, bronhii sau plămân, inclusiv în căile aeriene conductoare şi în alveole.
