I was very skeptical when I joined ProZ.com in December of last year, but a friend/colleague convinced me, and I have to say that being a member really pays! I have found 4 or 5 new clients in just 5 months of membership.

It's definitely worth it. I've been a registered user at ProZ.com since 2002, but only started getting jobs through the site after becoming a member. The membership fee paid back after the first order.

The site is very, very helpful. And meeting even one client can pay for the membership costs!

I'm still in shock that we got the (popular children's character) contract -- it involves work that will go more than a year. And where did the editor-in-chief at their corporate offices in NYC, find me? At my profile on ProZ.com. I tell you, I've never gotten so much out of so little investment.

ProZ.com membership is 1000x worth the cost! I wouldn't give up the unlimited Blue Board access for anything... ProZ.com is a great website.

I depend on the Blue Board to help me evaluate potential new clients. ProZ.com was instrumental in helping me get clients when I was starting out!

I have been working as a translator for a number of years and have been using ProZ.com as an aid on numerous occasions. I came to the point of considering myself completely hooked on it. It made my life easier when in desperate need of immediate consultation. It is easy to use and gives you immediate response when certain translation-related issues arise and need to be promptly addressed. It gives me the opportunity to interrelate with others that are in the same field and exchange ideas and ask questions to a panel of experts which in most occasions give me real-time feedback. This site is a must for anyone who intends pursuing this line of profession.

My workload has climbed steadily since I became a member... Another great advantage is the Blue Board... My latest (very big) job came through ProZ.com, so I would say: "Go for it!"

I must say that I continue to be breathless at how well ProZ.com anticipates / accommodates the needs of freelance translators. . . I was tearing my hair out and tossing small wads of money down the drain trying to find an invoicing program that did only what yours now does and nothing more.

ProZ.com is an essential tool for translators and interpreters. For me, it is a virtual work and marketplace. Forums, Powwows, conferences and group buys add a very beneficial social component without which many translators would feel very lost and alone in today's market.

ProZ.com has been a valuable resource,such as allowing me to organize a powwow which allowed for new contacts, which have encouraged to the valuable translator relation information that is presented. And most of all in the KudoZ which has allowed me to

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. I left my "safe" English teaching job and recontacted my old clients. It didn't take long and I was soon back on track. Thanks to ProZ I have made contacts with new agencies around the world. Avant tout, ProZ représente pour moi une plate-forme d’échanges internationale permettant de côtoyer d’autres traducteurs via les forums et les formations –je pense notamment au France Regional Event- . J’apprécie également la possibilité de pouvoir obtenir des informations sur les agences de traduction et les donneurs d’ordre en général grâce au Blue Board (certes non exhaustif, mais ô combien utile !), et de l’aide en cas de besoin avec les KudoZ. De plus, grâce à ProZ, j’ai trouvé un client avec lequel je travaille régulièrement : espérons que cela ne soit que le début d’une longue série !...

En fait, ProZ offre l’opportunité de développer son réseau à la fois en termes de « collègues » et de clients. Un investissement que je suis donc prête à renouveler !

As an old song used to say, more or less, "Jeepers, creepers... where�d ya get them... 'ideas'"? These new features are simply fantastic and they work beautifully. My platinum membership is worth every dollar.

ProZ.com has opened for me a completely new market, complementary to my existing one. I've learnt to apply new tools for marketing, business (software and systems) and translation.

I just wanted to say I think this site is fantastic, I've been a member for a couple of years now and I've had so much help from it - getting work, using the KudoZ facility and making contact with other translators.

ProZ.com was my only way of being independent while waiting for working papers to come through (which they didn't in 3 years!)...After that, I just stick to it and I will remain to do so because it has since become my "workplace".

ProZ.com is a terrific resource for anyone working with languages. It is great to meet other people working in the same field and to have access to glossaries and other useful information. Above all, for us at Shamrock, we have been able to win jobs in other countries, about which, without ProZ, we would never otherwise have known.
