The items in this scale make sense in terms of sedation except for this one: Slight deceleration or thickening? What do they actually mean?

The medication is Dexmedetomidine Hydrochloride. I also think it is related to slurring of speech. Thanks everyone.

Based on the other numbers in the scale It looks like this must be referring to the voice because of where it appears in the list. For example, for number 3 on the scale the second line/entry is clearly referring to speech. The other lines are referring to the jaw and eyes. I think 'slurred speech' is the right sort of thing.

Following on from Neil's suggestion I've discovered that 'engrosamiento de voz' is 'deepening of the voice'.
