Hi,

Does anyone know any legitimate online sites that offer certification for proofreading?

Thanks!

No, but try getting some courses under your belt Jul 28, 2009

I can't think of any, but what you can do to gain some legitimacy is to do online editing courses that have clout in the industry. Start asking around here:

Check the following resource Jul 28, 2009

Hello Rayan,

In www.lexicool.com you can find information about translation related courses. I have not had the time to go through all of the options they give, but you might find something useful.

Elena

Many thanks Jul 29, 2009

Hi, thanks for all the responses.. great and useful sites, I've already added both in my bookmark list. And Samuel, great point on taking courses.. I'll look in on that, kind of hard to find local courses here in Costa Rica, so online would be best. Thanks to Ma.Elena's site, I was able to find a translation course here that I might get into.

Let's do keep each other posted if we do find a credible site that has proofreading certification. Thanks.

Rayan

May be of some help- Jul 29, 2009

I appreciate you're in Costa Rica, but have you checked out this site?

I don't think theY can help you with training directly, but they may be of use for materials and such; and you can always ask them if they know of any online courses. Perhaps there aren't any at all...?

HTH.
