Hi! Why do you want to "clean" a ttx file? When you finish your last revision, just to go File>Save target as and the inx file will be created. Hope this helps Marina | | | Rajan Chopra India Local time: 20:14 Member (2008) English to Hindi + ... TOPIC STARTER
Hello Marina, I need to clean it because the client wants clean file also. Best, Chopra Marina Soldati wrote: Hi! Why do you want to "clean" a ttx file? It may be because of the filter version (in case you are working with a ttx file sent by the client). If this is the case, try creating a ttx on your maching (assuming the client also sent the inx file) and apply your TM on this new ttx. Then, try to save a clean file from the ttx you created and populated with your TM. If it works, consider sending the project specific TM along with the other files to the client, just in case they also have problems with the filter.... The client sent me .ini file and I created the .ttx file from it by translating it with TagEditor. Regards, Chopra Alexandre Maricato wrote: It may be because of the filter version (in case you are working with a ttx file sent by the client). | | | Possible procedures | Dec 6, 2011 |
Hi Chopra, as I replied to your message elswhere, INX files can be troublesome in TagEditor. I'd try to following: 1. Press F8 to run tag verification; there may be a tag missing from the translation 2. If everything is okay, try to open the source INX file in TagEditor anew and then try to save it as target (Shift + F12). If you get an error, then there is a problem with the INX file and you will be unable to translate it with Workbench + TagEditor. There is good ... I got the same problem.. Press F8 as Mr. Pokorny says and then start correcting the mistakes (with tag protection off). After correcting (as much as you could) try saving as .inx file again. Mistakes are like (there are spacing differences) and it shows where it is. Just correct it, simple. When you double click on the message, it shows where it is. It works!!! I hope it works for you too... | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Unable to clean an .inx.ttx file CafeTran Espresso | You've never met a CAT tool this clever!
