Drozjp: 下腿と限定するよりも下肢にして全体をひっくるめた方がよいような気がします。もしかして「大腿部の内・外側？！」って気もするんですが。

sumire (X): 本文に下腿（膝から下、足関節より上）と限定する記述のない限り、Drozさんが言われるように「下肢の背側および内外側」としておいた方が無難だと思います。このTherapyがどの療法のことを言っているのか分かりませんが、私のMuscle & Sensory Testingの教科書は、Lower Extremity, Limb およびLegを下肢として使っています。日本の解剖学のTEXTにはLegを下腿と限定しているものもあるようですが、私の手伝っている病院の理学療法に限って言えば、Lower Legを下腿と

Asako Okuma: sumireさんとＤrozさんに賛成です。流れから見て、その他はBackとかＳｈｏｕｌｄｅｒとか、割と細かい筋肉を指定しないで指しているので、下腿と限定せず下肢としておいたほうが無難ではないでしょうか。

outer and inner leg は"ひとかたまり"なのでしょうか、それとも outer leg とinner leg なのでしょうか？背景がわからないのですが、マッサージのようなものだとすると、私の知る限り内側（または外側）だけに施術することはありませんし、メニューなどにも内側・外側の区別はありません。したがって、意訳になるかもしれませんが脚部全体としてはいかがでしょうか？outer と inner を別々に訳す場合はマッサージなどでしたら、外脚・内脚、もっと医学的なものでしたら下腿に賛成です。

寝転がっている状態で体の側線に沿うように、内股と外股を軽くたたくようにマッサージされたことがあります。そのときにinner & outer leg といっていたような記憶があるのですが確かではありません（少し寝てました..）。参考までに。

ちょっと説明が難しいのですが、誤解されないよう追記します。

まずマッサージのメニューにこのような記載はありませんし、見たことがありません。
マッサージ師の方によると思いますが、マッサージをするさいに次にマッサージする箇所を呼称しながら次から次へ手を移動させていきます。次は首、次は腿の内側、次はひざをマッサージします、という感じで次に触るところをかならず教えてくれます（首をマッサージしていて、無言でいきなり腿の内側をマッサージすることはありません）。上記のくだりはこの呼称の流れを文章に直したようにみえます。参考までに。

あと内股と腿の外側を軽くたたくのは、仰向けの時にどちらかの足を軽く上げた状態で、軽くこぶしを握って腿の内側と外側の側線を同時にマッサージしますただしこのマッサージ方法が特殊なのか一般的なのかちょっとはっきりしません。参考までに。
