Si entendemos “plater” con la definición de Random House que incluyo. plater 25. Carpentry. any of various horizontal timbers or boards laid flat across the heads of studding, upon floors, etc., to support joists, rafters, or studs at or near their ends. Entiendo que “truss” se puede traducir como “cuchillo de armadura” (see DRAE), en cuyo caso, podría decirse también “los que instalan los cuchillos de armadura”... dependiendo de cómo hayas traducido el resto. La opción que aporto, si bien no es especializada (ni mucho menos), por lo menos creo que tiene la claridad necesaria para que cualquiera la entienda.
