There was much information in English that she brought home and I wondered what all those difficult-to-read words meant. My desire to learn English led me, at that early age and with my mom's support, to get an English to Spanish dictionary and try to figure out the meaning of the sentences. It was a wonderful and amazing experience. At age 12 I volunteered as an Auxiliary Teacher of English as a second language at a nearby private school. At 18 I graduated as a Bilingual Secretary English/Spanish and found a job at the AID Basic Village Education Program. That's when I started my career as a Translator and Interpreter.
