I hereby open this thread for the Participants and any other Third Party, provided such Third Party... STOP! The ProZian community is invited to vote and choose the winner of a Volvo, NO!!!! the winner of The Contest. All Participants can vote, anybody registered in Proz.com can vote. You will have one week to vote and you will have 9 points (big fan of Revolution Number 9, in spite of that old story about the curse, remember it? apparently if one ever listened to Rev. Number 9 backwards (how could one in the days of the Wincofon?!?!?) one might listen to Devil or die... Number nine, number nine, number nine). Come back to The Contest, Au. OK. I am back. As I was saying, you will have 9 (nine) points, that means, you may decide to give the nine points to one single story or you may decide to split them into as many parts as you want... well, no decimals, please In brief, the 9 points are yours, do whatever you want with them: assign them to one story, to three, to nine, but vote!!! All comments on the stories are more than welcome. Voting period will be closed on August 13 at 10.30 ProZian time. Thank you so very much! Two to Tango, Grey 3 points. Turns the theme into something unexpected in a very poetic way. Dan Marasescu, Diabolical Mind 3 points. Amazingly ingenious use of language by any standards, but particularly in a non-native language. Momoku, Unknown Thing, 1 point. Science-fiction theme which reminds me a bit of Karel Capek's play, the English title of which is "RUR - Rossum's Universal Robots", except that that ended with the robots beginning to develop hearts of the... Ines Garcia Botana, Sounds & Life, 1 point. I like the contrast between the joyful beginning and the poignantly sad ending. S-Alvz, Heart Lost on the Stairs, 1 point. A nicely done literal treatment of the theme.

Sorry to understand that I`m the outsider in this contest. I had to read the rules more carefully. My story has no relation to the picture. Nevertheless, I`m very glad I did it. I really enjoyed the contest & each short story. I`ll divide given points this way `Diabolical mind`, Dan Marasescu – 4 (this one is simply perfect) `The day I lost my heart on a flight of stairs`, S_alvz – 5 (this one touched my heart) ...
