My understanding: '79% reliability of delivery' should mean that 79% of orders can be delivered out of the warehouse stock-on-hand, but 21% have to go on back-order to be supplied later when more stock comes in (or something like that)

On the contrary, the less inventory kept, the lower the costs in storage and the lower the supply chain reliability.
