原文文本 - English英语 “For many years, while Victor Ganz (who then owned the painting) was still alive, Maya tried to buy or exchange it for a magnificent painting from 1939 (inherited from her father) which Victor was in love with and desperately wanted to buy from her. My mother loved Le reve so much, not only I think because it represents her mother, Marie-Therese, in all her beauty and in her happiest days with Pablo, but also because it is such an iconic picture about love. Wither her wonderful sense of humor, she suggested that Victor and herself should both get divorced and marry each other so that they could live together with the two paintings!
I think it is regrettable that the painting was damaged. I haven’t seen it since it happened, but I hope it can be fixed easily. Of course, any collector enjoys having a ‘Virgin paiting’ without any damage, but is remains for me the most desirable and erotic painting of the 20th century.”
