There isn't such a sample as "pondered" composite sample. Obviously, "pondered" is a typo. Besides, it isn't a method of sampling, rather a sample composing several batch samples.
A bach sample is taken at a specific place at a specific time while a composite sample is usually prepared by mixing severl batch samples taken at the same place but at different times. It is used to evaluate the average concentration in a medium in which the concentration may vary with time.
To facilitate the analysis of bigger solid samples, there are times when they must be powdered.

The sample is composite. The sample is thus made of different parts. The weight of those parts in the sample should reflects the importance that they have in the field.
