I work on a first come, first served basis and have learned to say "no" easily over the years. So too many translation requests is never a problem. Too few requests, however, could be one.

Q. "Do you find it difficult to keep up with the requests for work you are receiving?"
A. No. I'm a well-organised person who knows how to stay on top of his workload.

I'm currently back in Scotland organising a family funeral, but even so, I'm managing to keep up with any requests. I've notified my clients that my responses may be slower under the circumstances, but things tend to slow down around this time of year anyway.

Workflow has been as unpredictable as ever. I have been translating more years than I care to admit. Some 20/30 years ago, I used to be fully booked during the first months of the year and had almost no work during the summer months. Nowadays, it varies throughout the year and comes in cycles: a period of too much work is always followed by a (hopefully brief) period of nothing to do. I have ignored or turned every one of them down since the last book translation I submitted, in November 2021. That way, I can attend exclusively to what are MY needs right now, as well as to those of friends and relatives, many of whom are experiencing health and economic issues that are much more serious than any I have suffered, as a result of the pandemic.

What a weird set of possible answers.
I've had a pretty busy time lately and things have just calmed down a bit. I'd have gone with "yes, sometimes" or at a pinch "not usually" but there was only yes and no presented with different attitudes and nothing in between.
