Question:
Is it possible to use simultaneously two translation memories (from two language pairs)? I'd like to use English-Russian TM while translating in English-Ukrainian language pair.
Thanks!

Combine two TMs Mar 13, 2011

Firstly, export Russian TM as TMX.
Open the TMX using Notepad++( A powerful tool for text editing, freeware). Search the Lanuguage code for Russian , replaced all of them with Ukrainian language code.

Then import this modified TMX file into your current TM.

Be careful , backup your current TM before beginning.

Change target language of Search Center to "All languages" Mar 16, 2011

While translating in crossDesk click on "Select languages" button of Search Center window. Select as target language.
This won't work for you if you have some other language pairs (not only English-Russian and English-Ukrainian).

By the way, if you do it in a way, described by Jing Nie, you will never be able to say, if TM was Ukrainian or Russian before this operation (all TMs will become Russian).
