看来有不少人把 Sustainable technologies 译为“可持续发展的技术”。可是一看如下定义，又觉得不大确切。不知大家有无好的建议？谢谢！
Sustainable technologies are technologies which use less energy, fewer limited resources, do not deplete natural resources, do not directly or indirectly pollute the environment, and can be reused or recycled at the end of their useful life.

可续技术 / 永续技术
Sustainable technologies means that technologies that is sustainable as far as environmental conservation is concerned. More explicitly, it is "environmentally sustainable technologies". Since the ambiguity also exists in the original phrase, 可续技术 or 永续技术 should be fine. The problem in your rendition are the words 发展 and 的. They leave little room for further interpretation.

我的是意译，根据老孙给出的解释，我觉得可以。译为“可持续……”等我觉得有点死板、不像是中文的感觉。no offence. Thnaks! 没事，学术讨论，对事不对人，这点大家都明白的。从长期的Kudoz交流上可以看出，你是直译派的一员大将，而我是意译派的一名小卒，我们之间的分岐也许只是“派系之争”，哈哈！新年快乐！

: 如果从整个上下文确定以此意为主，也不妨这样译。否则，“永续”或“可持续”倒是几乎成了官方译法。本来"sustainable"的意义并不完全统一，但大致不离“保护环境、节省资源、为子孙后代留条后路”之类的，简单说就是“空前但不绝后”。
