我想如果将两个reaction翻成不同的词,就中文部分而言可能更易理解,比如:白色是对多色系列的回归,而多色又是对最初米色的突破

我是想说“白色是从多色系列回归”,如你前面的帖子所说,苹果的色彩设计经历了三个阶段,首先是单色,然后一改风格,变成多色系,最后又回归到单色,甚至采用了比米色更纯净的白色。所以我想第一个reaction是“突破”,第二个是“回归”。但设计上的回归一定不是照搬原样,必然有些小小的变动,所以就有了米色和白色的差别,也就是前面有位前辈所说的“矫枉过正”。

比较同意译为“突破”。“背离”也行,感觉用“突破”是不是更符合中文表达习惯

I believe Li Jie is right in her interpretation. Although it doesn't explicitly say so, the English does have the meaning of going from one extreme to the other, such as a swinging pendulum.
