翻译文本 - Chinese汉语 The overall treatment time (OTT) is one of the crucial factors in rate of locoregional control in tumors. Reducing the OTT can elevate the rate of locoregional control in tumors[2-6]. Many tumors have a tendency of reproliferation, and tumors will continue to grow regardless of whether possessing reproliferation during the period of treatment. According, it is unreasonable [7] to create any extension unless the treatment period needs to be elevated to inhibit the response of normal tissues to a certain extent. Since the beginning of the 1970s of twentieth century, it was discovered that the accelerated reproliferation in stem cell of surviving tumors is potentially the predominant incentive [8] resulting in the failure of conventional fractionated radiotherapy in diversified types of animal implant tumors and some human tumors, especially in craniopharyngeal, upper respiratory tract carcinoma as well as upper digestive tract squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). It have been confirmed in clinical studies that the accelerated reproliferation of cancer cells in the craniopharyngeal tumors is the leading cause in inducing failure of treatment [9.10]. The accelerated reproliferation is associated with the potential doubling time (Tpot) of tumors. Tpot of craniopharyngeal carcinoma is 4.7 to 5.5 days and Tpot of esopharyngeal tract carcinoma is 6.8 days, reported by Fowler et al [11]. Elongated overall treatment time of conventional fractionated radiotherapy is possibly unfavorable for treating tumors, being rapid reproliferation. Accordingly, it is recommended [12] that accelerated hyperfractionated radiotherapy could be utilized on Tpot of tumors smaller than 3d and hyperfractionated radiotherapy operated on Tpot of tumors between 3 to 8d as well as conventionally fractionated radiotherapy applied on Tpot of tumor larger than 8d. Under the strong promotion of radiobiology, researchers from various countries started to be devoted themselves to investigating some novel fractionated radiotherapy to overcome the accelerated reproliferation of tumor cells and elevate the efficacy of radiotherapy in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and received some inspiring advancement in the interventions of craniopharyngeal carcinoma, lung cancer, esopharyngeal tract carcinoma, some malignant tumors and so on. It is assumed that the accelerated proliferation of tumors in radiotherapy could be overcome via accelearated hyperfractionated radiotherapy to intensify its efficacy, specifically in the late stage of accelerated radiotherapy in esopharyngeal carcinoma. Some researchers [13-15] in China chose late phase of accelerated radiotherapy that had already significantly improved the rate of locoregional control and survival on esopharyngeal carcinoma patients.
