Job Description
We are seeking skilled language specialists to support AI speech technology projects involving Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), audio transcription, speech-data validation, and linguistic quality assurance.

Successful candidates will use their language expertise to transcribe audio recordings, review AI-generated transcripts, identify linguistic errors, and help improve speech recognition accuracy across different languages and dialects.

This is a remote freelance opportunity with flexible working arrangements, subject to project requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Transcribe audio recordings accurately in the target language.
Review and validate audio files and corresponding transcripts.
Identify transcription errors, dialect variations, and linguistic nuances.
Evaluate AI-generated speech recognition outputs and correct inaccuracies.
Follow transcription guidelines and language-specific quality standards.
Maintain consistency, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling project data.
Meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
Requirements
Native or fluent proficiency in at least one of the listed languages.
Strong listening, writing, and reading skills in the target language.
Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of language conventions.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
Previous experience in transcription, audio annotation, ASR evaluation, or linguistic quality assurance is an advantage.
Engagement Details
Contract: Freelance / Independent Contractor
Location: Fully remote
Estimated workload: 30–40 hours per week, depending on project availability
Rate: USD $5–$20 per hour, depending on language expertise, experience, and project scope
Selection process: Resume review and a language or transcription assessment, where applicable
Payment terms: To be confirmed in the applicable contractor agreement
Work availability, language assignments, payment schedules, and final rates will depend on the specific project and confirmed contractual terms.
