English英语译成Chinese汉语: report General field: 商务/金融 Detailed field: 投资/证券
原文文本 - English英语 In a strong month for resources stocks, the fund gained 8.3%. With emerging markets rallying, top performers included Petrobras in Brazil and CNOOC in China. Indonesian coal producer Sakari Resources rebounded well as positive economic data and hopes for a ‘soft landing’ in China drove optimism about demand. These factors, along with anticipation of increased cash returns to shareholders, also lifted Rio Tinto. Our positioning in M&A candidates was rewarded, with further strength in Cove Energy and mounting interest in AGCO. Holdings in Shell and Chevron detracted from returns after the latter’s fourth-quarter profit-warning, which weighed on integrated oils generally. Weakness in US natural gas hurt holdings geared to the commodity (Encana, Southwestern, QEP), but positive change appears to be moving closer; major producer Chesapeake announced a drilling cut, which should lessen the oversupply problem, while President Obama promoted natural gas in his ‘State of the Union’ address, boding well for future demand-led initiatives. The holdings mentioned recovered some ground after Chesapeake’s announcement as the market sent a clear message about the need to cut activity.
Chinese汉语译成English英语: TJ visit General field: 其它 Detailed field: 政府/政治
原文文本 - Chinese汉语 尊敬的代表们、女士们,下午好!
...
翻译文本 - English英语 Dear delegates, Ladies, good afternoon!
I feel very honoured to have the opportunity to meet you in Edinburgh. On behalf of Tianjin Municipal Committee, municipal government and all members of the delegation, I wish to express my sincere thanks for your hospitality, careful planning for the delegation and taking time out of your busy schedule.
First of all, I would like to outline the main points of our visit.
The aim of our visit to ED is to build relationship with the Scottish Government, to deepen our understanding of each other, to exchange views on future communication and cooperation, to discuss the possibility of establishing twin-cities relations between TJ and ED, and to further enhance communications and collaborations in many fields between our two cities.
Secondly, I would like to say a few words on China-UK bilateral relations. The relationship between China and the UK has solid foundations. The friendship between our two peoples goes back a long way. Under our two countries’ common effort, comprehensive pragmatic cooperation is pushing forward in all areas. The Sino-UK relationship has entered a new stage, which is mature, healthy and stable. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and the UK, and this year also sees the London Olympics. All this signals a new opportunity for our relationship.
Thirdly, let me introduce TJ’s development in recent years. TJ is the biggest coastal open city in northern China. Relying on the harbour, geographical location, natural and labour resources, TJ has become one of the fastest developing areas in recent years. Since 2011, TJ has quickened her steps of the transformation of the economic development mode, and has continuously deepened reform and opening-up, and has further ensured and improved the people’s wellbeing. The social-economic development has reached a new level.
English英语译成Chinese汉语: tonnage tax General field: 法律/专利 Detailed field: 运输/交通/货运
原文文本 - English英语 The tonnage tax system confers tax exemptions in favour of the payment only of tonnage tax, which is calculated on the basis of the net tonnage of the ships owned, chartered or managed. Managers pay a rate which is 25% of the rate applicable to owners and charterers.
翻译文本 - English英语 I carried the storms from the north with me, Palazzolo Acreide.
The gusty winds were my sighs,
Lightly sweeping across your closely shut casement.
The sudden raindrops were as my hopes,
Rising and falling,
Knocking on your fast-locked door.
Will you open it, Palazzolo Acreide?
I unfolded the baggage on my back,
Five thousand years of culture scattered swiftly around the streets,
Scurried hastily, but failed to find any crack to slip into,
And in the end withdrew dejectedly.
Just when I was packing, getting ready to leave, Palazzolo Acreide,
During the night, I heard your whispers suddenly,
Fretting and rapid as if a restless heart,
Also as if discontent and indignation, suppressed for thousands of years,
Erupted with a bang,
Floating and falling on each and every rock,
Awakening each and every ancient ghost,
Leaving behind time,
Leaving behind past glories,
Leaving behind the vicissitudes of time,
Rushing towards a rendezvous for long millennia delayed.
