原文文本 - English英语 American society referred to as a “melting pot” has transformed its society into a multicultural mosaic. Culture, although entails too much meanings in itself, is a way of life. Yet culture is not biologically inherited but rather the outcome of people’s creativity which is based on ideas, values and common sharing.
Because each portion of every country has its own traditions and values, every culture has distinct characteristics that make it different from one another. Likewise, when one is in a different community, he cannot expect to be at home unless he learns and adopts their own social customs.
Hotel is the best place to find the particular places’ culture and history. Each hotel in different regions has distinctive architecture and interiors that incorporates its region’s culture. By combining conventional hotel services with elements from cultural heritage, hotels provide guests with the opportunity to appreciate the history, lifestyle and arts of the local people. Then it would be interesting to pinpoint the culture within the hotel community and how they build their “own” culture.
It is interesting to see how every community builds its own “culture” just as building a house. And although culture is a creation each member built by putting all the pieces together, culture in turn shapes individuals and provides them a sense of house where they can rest. More importantly, globalization has motivated International hotels to meet the needs of customers from different cultures and the ability of management to understand their customers is a crucial part within the hospitality industry.
翻译文本 - English英语 Located in the ancient city ruins of Long’an Prefecture (the present-day Long’an Town, Pingwu County) in the northwest of Sichuan, the well-known Bao’en Temple faces east and is surrounded by rivers along three sides. Main halls lay on the central axis in column, cloisters and wing halls at both sides standing circularly in symmetry. Cornices interlock each other, age-old cypresses soar to clouds, and the temple gate is hidden in the thick shadow of ancient trees, Ten-Thousand-Buddha Pavilion towers high among blue sky and white clouds. The uneven ancient architecture complex is highlighted more magnificent and unfathomable, embosomed in the natural background of mountains. Wind-bells jingle at times from the ancient temple in remote mountains when breeze blows, evoking a lot of illusions.
