… following five pretty full weeks. I have a big job scheduled for the second week of September and I have been waiting for an update to a job I did last month. So, this week I will relax a little bit.

I had one of my busiest month of August for years and it does not seem to stop before the usual great rush of september.

I had to take extra work, as my main client's workload dropped, so I ended up working 13-hours shifts, weekends included.
I'm glad it's back to normal and I refuse work now.

This month has been busy, but not to the point that there would be no time for other things, including day trips around the country. Being basically independent, I can afford to only accept certain projects that I can comfortably handle and still have time to follow my other interests.

It was OK until July.
Now, it's 40% below the average for the past two months. August was better than July, with the perspective of two large projects that may save the finances.

Unexpectedly resilient. With the exception of a spike in seasonally strong May, monthly revenue has been flat to slightly up every month for the past six months. Given what has been happening globally over that period, I'm somewhat surprised, and a little bit wary, but far from unhappy.
