Hi All, A new version of the site menu is now available for use. The new version should make the site easier to use and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. If you experience technical problems with the new navigational elements, or have requests, suggestions or feedback, please reply here. To try out the new navigation menu, click "Try the new menu" at the top of the page. You can switch back to the old menu ... See more Hi All, A new version of the site menu is now available for use. You can switch back to the old menu by clicking "Old menu". Here is a list of the changes: * The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. * The "KudoZ" dropdown menu has been renamed to "Terminology" and now contains other terminology resources. This is expected to be more useful to visitors who aren't familiar with the term "KudoZ". * The "Community" tab has been renamed to "Member activities". * "Jobs" and "Directories" dropdown menus have been combined because of their similar content and also to decrease the total number of dropdown menus. * Each major menu item now has an overview page associated with it. Whereas just clicking "Jobs" in the navigation bar (without sliding down to a subitem) used to bring you to a list of job postings, for example, clicking "Jobs & directories" will now bring you to an overview of ProZ.com services in the category. * The "My ProZ.com" menu has been replaced by the dropdown menu accessible via the down arrow in the area at the top of the page in which your username is shown when you are logged in. This menu is better organized and more complete, and won't require scrolling for those with a smaller screen size. ▲ Collapse
Thank you very much Colin. I like it! Greetings, Gemma
Hi Colin, I just saw this thread and just had to try the new navigation. I love it. It's so much clearer. I'll keep it this way. Thanks, Christina
I like it. A lot clearer indeed! Thank you! I'm keeping it.

support tickets | Oct 16, 2009 |
Where is My support requests that used to be under My ProZ? It is not in the username area at top of the page. | | | Niraja Nanjundan (X) Local time: 10:34 German德语译成English英语
Thanks for this new development! I especially like the change to "Terminology" and "Member activities." @Walter: "My support requests" is under the "About" tab.
Niraja Nanjundan wrote: @Walter: "My support requests" is under the "About" tab. Ah, ok Niraja. Now I see. It doesn`t seem logical in that place though. | | | Two quick suggestions | Oct 16, 2009 |
Since some menu items are being renamed, I would like to suggest this: Translation jobs ---> rename it to ---> Browse jobs Reason: To make clear that this item allows browsing the posted jobs, as opposed to posting one, or some general info. The other reason is that jobs are not only translations jobs, I never understood this naming. There are plenty of interpretation jobs, as well as occasional transcription, summarization and other jobs posted. ... Another suggestion for display order: Member Activities: Please swap the order of the two areas, put the Community area on top. Reason: I am sure I am not alone when I say the single menu item I use the most in this menu is the Forums. It used to be on the top in the old menu, for a very good reason. Thanks Katalin ▲ Collapse

Suggestion: My forum posts | Oct 16, 2009 |
I like it so far, just one suggestion: I'd like to see a link to My forum posts in one of the tabs. | | | What happened to GBK glossaries in the new menu | Oct 16, 2009 |
What happened to GBK glossaries in the new menu? It seems to have dissapeared.
I would welcome a My Messages link in the Username menu.

I've made some updates based on the feedback given so far. Hi Russell, did you know that you can always click the little mail icon up by your name to view your messages? | | | I like it, but... | Oct 20, 2009 |
When we're in the forums, could we have the clickables (most recent posts etc.) back on the left instead of the right? I know I'll get used to them being there, but I really hate it when the important bit of a page is shoved hard over on the left hand side of my screen - and I've never managed to get used to that. | | | 话题中的页数: [1 2] > | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » New site navigation menu Trados Business Manager Lite | Create customer quotes and invoices from within Trados Studio
