When I have the project all set up and I go into Editor to start the translation, a window pops up saying
"An error occurred whilst trying to determine the file type".
What on earth does this mean?
The document (or rather documents, since I've tried it with different ones just to see) is in Word.

... I would expect to see a message like this when trying to open a file from source, not one that was already converted and in your Project. Can you share the Project, or the file?

In the future please kindly mention the version of the software you are talking about. This will help others to help you, and will make the thread probably useful for other forum participants having similar problems.

The version in this case is SDL Studio 2009.

Hello,
I'm glad rebooting has solved your problem. It didn't solve mine. I'm working on SDL Studio 2011 and I can't access my project hence I can't finalize it and send it on time. It keeps saying: "error occurred whilst trying to determine the file type". Any clues on how to fix it?
