I know of no easy way to do it. The TM's name in the TM pane is taken from the TM's file name itself, so the only way to change the name of the TM in the TM pane is to change the TM's file name. Before you rename the TM file, though, remember to "remove" that TM from the list of TMs in the TM pane, otherwise Trados will complain that it can't find the resource. So you have to remove the TM, then rename the file, then add the TM again, and... don't forget... you have to change the project settings of all the projects that that TM is/was part of, so that they now point to the new name (if you want to be able to use the same TM with those projects).

Wouldn't it be nice if it were possible to rename a TM in situ (and have all projects' settings automatically updated with the TM's new name)? Or: wouldn't it be nice if one could change the TM's "name" in the list without actually changing the TM file's name?
