Chinese汉语 term
底仓
Chinese汉语译成English英语
商务/金融
金融(普通)
Stocks, Bonds, Futures, Etc
It is a term employed in evaluating the value or position (?) of stock. I am sorry, I have no further context than this.
I will see it in simple phrases such as "the stock is 底仓."

original or base position
it has been asked here and the asker chose "core holding" as the best answer.
I think it means the position originally bought.
for example, if you have $10000, you spend $5000 to by Facebook's stock, and later on you buy an additional $5000. The first position of $5000 is called "底仓"

base position
I am a native Chinese speaker and have came across this word in Chinese to English before. The first translation come into my mind is base position.
For the original text 底仓,it simply means the part of position that you will hold as the base, you can buy more shares and sell them, but the base position, for instance 1000 shares, will always be maintained.
Having a base position in any particular stock is kind of a vote of confidence in the company as you are still bullish for the foreseeable future.
