（大幅面）插页/插图

很多时候， folio 是比书尺寸大的大幅面插页，夹在书里， 所以另类编号， 如果是合同类文件的话， 是指插图/插表。

供参考

folio = (Printing, Lithography & Bookbinding) a page number in a book
是指书籍的编号。 例如：

Sale (by) Ann Herbert LeBlanc (to) Joseph P. Naquin
Deed book “A” Folio: 55
契据文本 “A” 编页码： 55

而该售賣纪录的 page number 则在整个法律纪录摘要档案 Legal Records Subseries 2 Legal Abstract 的 Index of Abstract No. LAF 1181, Vol. I, F-4666 的第 74 页。

这样就容易理解为什么 folio 之后跟著一个 page number 了。

也看到一个学术进修报告有这样的用法：

澳大利亚国家档案馆在将档案提供大众应用之前, 该等档案会先由馆方专门人员检视档 案内容以确定其并未包含法令所定各款限制应用事由资讯, 此作业程序称为档案应用审 核‘access examination’, 实施内容方式可分为 4 种,包括逐页检视 (folio-by-folio), item sampling、档案目录筛选 (title checking) 及 full appraisal。

这样与上面的 index entry page number 索引条目页码有所区别。
