English to Norwegian Translator and/or Editor

Job Description:

We seek experienced English-to-Norwegian translators and/or editors to join our team. This is a freelance, remote contract position.

The work is for our military client and requires full U.S. citizenship to edit military documentation, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. Your role will consist of editing various types of documentation that is confidential.

Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

1) A native speaker of Norwegian and near-native English.
2) Experience editing military and academic transcripts.
3) Bachelor’s Degree in Translation or equivalent.
4) A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.
5) Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive.
6) A team player, with excellent communication skills.
7) Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software.
8) Preferred ATA certified.
9) Excellent formatting skills!
10) Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines.
11) Able to provide per-word rates for either translations and editing or both.

*Payment is based on a per-word rate.
